Modern sailors are simultaneously blessed with a plethora of high quality weather data sources, and cursed by its abundance. In this talk, we will take a look at some of the basics about how weather forecasts and observations can be acquired and used to plan passages, safely navigate hazardous weather, or gain an edge on the race course.
Loren Brindze is an avid local sailor and software engineer with a professional focus on weather technologies, data, and infrastructure within private industry.
