2026 Campbell Cup

Vincent Paternoster | Published on 10/25/2026

Fun racing today all the way to Santa Monica pier and back to the club.
This classic race traditionally takes place on the last Sunday of October. All members who are boat owners are encouraged to participate in this casual outing that "sorta" retraces the steps of Phil Campbell many years ago who ventured in what is now our marina.

This year's edition benefited from a decent breeze during the entire race which took less than 2 hours - perhaps a record as the very light conditions which prevail this time of the year turn this race in a 3 to 4 hour cruise.

Rod Percival ran the race with on board several members of the UCLA sailing team.
