The Berger Stein Race Series, held out of Marina del Rey, has long been one of the most anticipated and competitive sailing events in Santa Monica Bay. Drawing top sailors from clubs across the region, it’s known for its spirited competition, strong camaraderie, and the beautiful backdrop of the Pacific coast.
This year, the South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club (SCCYC) made an especially impressive showing — dominating the leaderboard and walking away with an armful of trophies. The club’s talented skippers and crews consistently placed at the top across multiple races, demonstrating both skill and sportsmanship that reflect SCCYC’s proud racing tradition.
From light-air challenges to brisk afternoon breezes, the SCCYC fleet handled every condition with precision and teamwork. Their success in the Burgerstein Series is a testament to the club’s vibrant sailing community, dedicated volunteers, and the countless hours members spend on and off the water.
Congratulations to all the racers and especially to South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club for another outstanding season of racing — proving once again that the Corinthian spirit is alive and thriving in Marina del Rey.
